PART I

Friday Evening: 6-9 PM

Light Dinner followed by entertainment

Learn the history of BPW in a way you’ve never seen before.

Saturday Morning:  8 AM-12 Noon

Continental Breakfast

Communication skills and listening techniques

Networking, Self Analysis and Positive Imagery as you learn to negotiate for your rightful place in the workplace.

Saturday Afternoon: 1-4 PM

Taming the tension within you as you speak

            Techniques of oral presentations.

            Review of tips in speaking both extemporaneously and from research.

Saturday Evening

Dinner

Participant 2 minute, videotaped, impromptu speeches.

          Impromptu talent show

Sunday 8-9:30 AM

 Breakfast

Preparation for team speeches, which will be given at 10:00, Awards announced

             Certificate of Completion for PART I will be issued to participants.

PART II

Saturday Morning: 8 AM – 3 PM

Topic: Train BPW members to be change facilitators in their local BPW Organizations.  The bulk of the time will be spent learning strategies and brainstorming ways to make local BPW a new vision in today’s world.

          Issues include:

3 – 4 PM – Wrap-up and evaluation

CERTIFICATION

Local members who are interested in the growth and development part of the program do not have to have attended the Part I workshop designed to develop speaking skills.

All Part II participants will receive a certificate of course completion.

Participants who complete Part I and Part II will receive a plaque certifying them as being  IDP Certified and Trained.
