President's Notes

Hello everyone! My sincere apologies for being late with our newsletter. Earlene has been her usual punctual and articulate self; however, I have had a number of things get in the way of my efficiency.

We had a wonderful meeting with Laura Meadows, Assistant Secretary of State, speaking to us about the duties and responsibilities of her office. It was extremely informative. Thanks to Rita Bauer for pulling this one together.

Of course, December 1 is our Annual Holiday Party. I always look forward to that. It's a great time for us to meet spouses and significant others, as well as simply chat and hang out together.

Please take a moment to read the letter from BPW/USA President Roslyn Ridgeway highlighting the National Conference and outlining her activities on behalf of BPW/USA. Also, I'm looking forward to  Rita Gray's on the 2005 BPW/GA Fall Board meeting held last weekend. Lots to catch up on and lots to do.

Warm regards,

Peg Titus-Hall, President

Editor's Notes

It was good to get back to the meeting in October and seeing all of you again. I hope to get back soon but surgery is scheduled for October 17 so we will have to see how I do.
We had two new members join at the October meeting and both have sent in their info for the Spotlight so get to know them by reading the Spotlight. We welcome both of them.
I need a refresher or update from all of the rest of you from what we did last year. I know things have been happenings, honors, awards, changes etc in your lives. And if you haven’t sent me anything please send it to me so we can include you and get to know you better.
Also I think I am missing a few of your day and month for your birthday and anniversary. So if in doubt or you have been missed in the birthday and anniversary section Please send it to me.
I am finishing this Newsletter early before surgery so there could be some changes. Please remember me in your prayers and I hope to see everyone soon.

She owns Educational Strategies, Inc., a consulting firm that assists education, businesses, industries, and state and local governments in creating effective operational models for improved outcomes.
Jo is an avid scuba diver and makes an annual trip with four of her closest friends to Belize. She thoroughly enjoys gardening, primarily perennials. Now she says she can garden year round here in Georgia.
Jo is new to BPW, but she has been a member of numerous other professional organizations, such as the National Association of Female Executives, National Association of Black Women in Higher Education, and the National Association of Women in Community Colleges.
