President's Notes

Hello everyone,

It is with regret that I will be missing this month's meeting, yet again. Due to a scheduling conflict for my husband, I have to leave for out of town on Thursday afternoon. Thanks to Cindy Overton who will be running the meeting in my absence. I miss seeing all of you, and of course, I'll miss Dr. Langford, the wonderful speaker that Christy Nilsson has arranged for our October program. I'm truly looking forward to November and getting back on track.

I want to offer my sincere thanks to Rita Bauer and Earlene Roden who attended the Fall Board Meeting in Decatur. I know they'll be reporting on it at the meeting Thursday. It's truly wonderful to be able to turn to our capable and dedicated BPW members for support.

I'm so looking forward to the Treasures & Trash Bazaar. I'm accumulating things to sell and found some leftover gift bags that I had made a couple of years ago for a neighborhood sale. They're colorful and fun, and just in time for gift shopping for the holidays!

Speaking of holidays, I volunteered for October 21 for one of the Halloween Hikes at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. I'll be one of the costumed characters! I hope you'll plan to stop by and participate in this really fun event. Better yet--join me! We can be birds together!

Warm regards,

Peg Titus-Hall

P.S. I noticed that we're not receiving any member profiles for the newsletter. It's a great way to learn about you and to highlight your business. So when Earlene requests that you participate, please accommodate her. Thanks to her, we have a wonderful way to keep everyone informed about our activities and to learn about our organization.

Editor's Notes

Rita Bauer and I attended the Northern District Meeting on Saturday September 17, 2005. It was informative, enlightening, and enjoyable. We will be hosting the meeting next year so hopefully many of you will be able to attend.
I have missed all of you this year, but hopefully will be able to get back soon. I ask for your prayers as I face some testing for some health concerns.
